Who we are

This website is run by Rainbow Rubbers & EXIM Ltd, trading as Rainbow Mart. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the details of your order.

When you create or use an account: your email address, and any name, phone number and saved addresses you add. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so we never hold a password for you.

When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message, which are emailed to us.

We do not see or store your card or PayPal details. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal.

Why we use it

To take, deliver and support your order, and to send you emails about it (our contract with you).

To keep the sales and VAT records the law requires (a legal obligation).

To run your account and answer your messages, and to keep the shop secure and prevent fraud (our legitimate interests).

We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need: Stripe and PayPal for payments, our email provider (Resend) for order and sign-in emails, our delivery carriers for your delivery details, and our website and database hosting providers.

We may also share data where the law requires it, for example with HMRC.

Cookies and visitor counts

We set one cookie, and only when you sign in to your account, to keep you signed in. Your basket is saved in your own browser and is not sent to us until you check out.

We count visits without cookies: each visit is turned into a code that changes every day, so we cannot tell who you are or link one day’s visit to another.

If you click Accept on the cookie message, we also use Google Analytics. It sets cookies (named _ga) for up to 2 years so we can see which pages are used and where visitors come from. Google processes this data for us. If you click No thanks, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 6 years, as UK tax law requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Contact form messages are kept only as long as we need them to answer you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. Contact us using the details below and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
